I’ve always loved planning parties, designing details, and turning scattered ideas into cohesive, meaningful moments.

I’m a mom to a wildly imaginative 10-year-old who has never once chosen an “easy” Halloween costume or birthday theme. If it’s obscure, out of era, or something we can’t just buy off a shelf, she’s in. And honestly? So am I.

Even when the theme is simple, “easy” isn’t really in my vocabulary. I’m always looking for ways to make it more special, more cohesive, more visually thoughtful. The details matter. The flow matters. The feeling matters.

People have been known to call me “extra” when it comes to parties, even simple gatherings, and I’ve learned to embrace that. Bringing a side dish to a cookout? Sure. But how can I make it more special? That’s my love language.

Because sometimes what feels like chaos at the beginning — scattered ideas, endless options, too many tabs open — just needs a little vision and intention to turn into confetti.
